Hello Blog World!

I've wanted to blog for awhile now, mostly to share my explorations. I named my blog "Shake Down Chic," because, according to the thesaurus, "Shake Down" is another word for experiment, and that's what I love to do in life, and what I plan to document here.

I'm a San Francisco native, transplanted south of the mason/dixon line to a small town in rural Virginia. That being said, my favorite thing to do is get in my car and explore. I love travel, being outside, trying new restaurants, cooking, fashion, and a plethora of other things.
